STANDARDS AND CODES OF PRACTICE

In our goal for service excellence it has become necessary to implement the following lead times
and conditions. These conditions should be read in conjunction with MESH & BAR PTY LTD
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE.


Standard Materials – Stock 6 metre Bar, Standard Mesh and Accessories – Melbourne Metro Area

  • Subject to availability, orders for standard material placed prior to 1pm can be delivered next working day.
  • Standard material that requires scheduling can be delivered the next working day once scheduling is completed. Lead times for scheduling apply.

Scheduled Materials - Processed Bar, Mesh and Accessories

  • We require sufficient lead times to allow for scheduling, manufacturing and associated processing of material. The minimum lead times for orders are:
    a) Footings - 5 to 7 working days
    b) Slabs, Columns, Walls etc - 10 working days
  • Customers are required to supply a delivery program and ongoing updates to ensure we can meet your delivery times. Lead times as noted above.
  • Changes in details and amendments, which affect an area already scheduled, will incur an additional 3 to 10 working days depending on the extent of the changes.
  • Sufficient notice shall be given for cancellation of an order. Cancellations are subject to Mesh & Bar Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Delivery

  • Customers are advised to arrange steel deliveries one day prior to steel fixing. Mesh & Bar will not be held responsible for any back charges or issues incurred as a result of arranging delivery and fixing on the same day.
  • Drivers are expected to deliver to an accessible and nominated drop off point. The driver will accommodate all reasonable requests. If they deem the request unsafe, they may refuse the request. The final decision lies with the driver as they are bound to work within Workcover safety regulations.
  • Drivers will not be held liable for any damages on site if the customer has asked them to deliver to an other than nominated drop off point.
  • A penalty fee applies if customers refuse to accept any delivery. The fee includes for costs of return to store, restocking and/or storage.

Claims

  • Mesh & Bar’s Scheduler or Representative is to be contacted immediately if any steel is deemed not to comply. All instances will be investigated and checked in a timely and professional manner. Disputes are to be investigated and resolved prior to pouring concrete. Mesh & Bar Pty Ltd will not accept any claims if this does not occur.
  • Mesh & Bar shall at its own discretion, repair or replace non-compliant goods within 24 hours of being advised.
  • Any claim against Mesh & Bar must be in writing, stating full details of the claim within 48 hours of the alleged incident occurring.
